The parish church of San Bartolomeo in San Rocco a Pilli is of Romanesque origin, and the news is handed down that Santa Caterina, in this sacred place, received graces.
The church was heavily renovated in neoclassical style, especially in the facade, based on a project by Agostino Fantastici The renovation began in 1820 and ended in 1824.
The initiative for a restoration that would obviate a condition of structural failure that had been known for a long time, was taken and financed by the Counts of Elci, owners of the nearby Cavaglioni estate.
